La ROCHELLE


From 12th to 14th July we visited the La Rochelle On this trip we concentrated on the old town, leaving the Ile de Re for another time.
At the time of our visit, a Music Festival was being held in the town and this somewhat disrupted the tourist experince. The Festival was called FRANCFOLIES and has two live stages in the town centre and dock area.
We stayed at Chatelaillon-Plage, a very popular summer beach resort town just south of La Rochelle.
